l16ydl 0 Posted March 24, 2012 As i was washing the VR before i left the car running and when i had finished and jumped back in the heaters were blowing hot air. I moved the dial from cold to hot and it made a little difference between temperature, any ideas how to fix this?
Critical_Mass 10 Posted March 24, 2012 Was the temp dial easy to move? Im thinking that the dial isnt actually moving the flap to change the temp. It does this by a cable (bowden cable). First thing id do is take the dials out and check that the bowden cable is still connected and moving freely. By the way there's one cable per dial. P3rks 11 Posted March 24, 2012 First off, as above. Try moving the hot/cold dial when the engine and blower are off (so its dead quiet in the car) and you should hear something slide and move. There should be some resistance in the dial. If not then your dial or heater cable are broken. If yes, I would say that the flaps in you're heaterbox which direct the airflow are perished and full of holes.
