Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 3, 2004 Our friend Oichan is at it again! Looks well cool.....I know the blue dash and clocks aren't new, but reversing the LCD panels over is not something I've seen done, until now....looks loads better. Don't you think? Ka` 0 Posted April 4, 2004 I wonder what it'll look like with back-lit gauges... Won't it be too dark if there's no light shining on them? Awesome otherwise :D Cheers, Rica
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted April 4, 2004 Here is one I tried, the only problem is when unsticking the film from the glass it smudges and is still covered in glue,I tried removing the glue with not much luck :( On the clock I peeled the film off and stuck it on the inside of the plastic holder, which works fine but attracts dust, fingerprints ect....so no touching I also removed the green film inside and it gave it a cool orange look. busy getting some blue bulbs to see what happens  Then its time to get some new dial faces..... 8) The pictures dont do it justice !! Henny 0 Posted April 20, 2004 quick top tip... ;) As you use the knife to remove the polarised sheet, make sure you don't touch it, then stick it onto a sheet of overhead projection clear plastic, cut it out and THEN put it back in reversed... no finger prints or dust... 8) Or you could just cheat like I did and use some new polarised plastic sheets! ;)
Red=Fast 0 Posted April 21, 2004 i am totally doing that as soon as i have some free time with my car (when im not driving it and breaking my new engine in...) i also got the closest thing i could get to those awesome reverse glow guages... http://www.procarparts.com/store-detail ... %2D6832RGX i cannot wait to do the digital display mod with those guages...how easy is it to make the digital display glow with LEDs? time, parts, etc...? also what do you guys suggest to make my pins lite up?
Henny 0 Posted April 21, 2004 by pins I take it you mean the indicator needles which actually move to point to the speed/levels/revs? On those dials you'll probably get away without doing anything as there is an illuminated ring in the middle of the dial which should hi-light the needles... If not, then the standard red needles glow nicely under UV light, or the white ones can be painted with a UV sensitive paint and then 3 UV LEDs installed (with resistors) instead of the standard 3 bulbs across the top of the unit... 8) Works well, but it may make the white dials glow up too... :?
