Power steering top-up...errrr problem

One of those really embarrasing problems.....how do you get the top off the power sterring fluid resevoir (the little red cap!) ??? Mine seems unbelievably tight, waiting to break if i force it open. It is a 2L/9A engine...any hints etc would be appreciated!!

They are tight. Just need to perservere with it!

Cheers, thanks for that, will get the grips out.....just seem to remember reading somewhere that if the fluid seems to be getting low, the whole system needs to be checked, just topping up is not enough......hence the thought it might not be designed to come off :-)

Yeah they do go tight :) usually I get 2 flat sided objects, one each side of the grip on the cap to make it easier to unscrew...

I put a Stanley blade each side of the bit on the cap, then use pilers, should spread the pressure and stop it breaking off.
