VR6 orange needles

Can anyone advise if the orange can be scraped off of these (like the audi volts/oil dials)?

Just swap them from a 92 valver, there white ,and will fit !

If you just want plain white needles,you can have my old set !

Thanks Dragon. I've got a set of white ones but i prefer the profile of the orange ones but want to change them to red rather than orange. I've done the audi ones in white with red backlighting (but not fitted yet). My clocks are blue and red needles would go quite well i think.

Could you please post a pic of your 92 white ones please just in case they're different to mine?

Doesn't the needle come off the base? I would spray them with some vinyl dye (not paint) - great finish and it melts itself into the surface of the plastic so it won't chip or flake. Even if they're one-piece you could still do it with some careful masking...

thanks dragon. Same as mine, i think. Stone, i want to keep the transparent needle with the colour coming through from the light being reflected on the bottom face, which i would do red, if that makes sense?
