Stainless steel engine fittings uprated suspension bolts

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

as a side line from the brakelines I can also supply stainless steel bolts in almost any length and specification.

I am willing to design and supply sets for the Corrado but as i dont have one to work from I need your help in designing them

for other cars i do them for inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, cam covers, headlight mounts, wing bolts etc

what I aim to do with your help is build kits for the forum containing all or parts of these, but can you kind people supply with me numbers and lengthes of bolts for each purpose

so far i can do cam cover bolts and inlet manifold bolts for the KR engines

secondly I do uprated grade suspension bolts, these are wishbone bolts, pinch bolts, shock absorber mounts etc

again if you can supply the lengthes and pitch and bolt size then i can start building kits to replace these parts.

the grade would be 10.9 or 12.9 grade so as good as if not better than standerd.

SO ANY BOLT TYPE YOU WANT JUST ASK AND TOGEATHER WE CAN SOURCE AND SUPPLY THEM

How About joining forces with the 312 mm brake guide to supply the longer high tensile bolts needed for the conversion , i think all the info is on that guide but it would be nice to order the lot in a complete set for the job

I would be interested in the front hub-strut nuts and bolts and rear beam-shock nuts and bolts. These are available from VW, but the quality is not that great as they deteriorate pretty quickly I've found.

Same for carrier bolts for front and rear. And the wishbones bolts mentioned. I'd def be up for a kit as it's one of the areas that annoy me. Nivce new, high quality fasteners will help ensure the car is easy to work on for years a well as preventing the usual issues consequences of rust taking hold on bolts.

Great idea :)

here are the first few prices, where ever possible bolts will be 12.9 so most will have a socket cap head.

if you want them with a hex head they would be in 10.9 grade, where ever possible the bolts will be zinc coated to aid anti corrosion

front wishbone bolt £7 pair with new washers and nylocs

hub to balljoint pinch bolt £5 the pair with new nylocs and washers

rear wishbone bolt £7 the pait with new nylocs and washers

does any one have the sizes for the rest of the suspension bolts?

Front subframe bolts are:

M12x1.5x82 42mm shoulder

M12x1.5x65 25mm shoulder

M12x1.5x78 38mm shoulder

M10x24 full thread

and a picture for reference.

Most of the engine mounting/ suspension fasteners are of the above pictured design. if you need any more pictures of specific bolts i could sift through my collection.
