Recaro Seat tilt handle

Evening all,

 

My 1995 corrado is fitted with leather electric Recaro seats. The seat tilt lever on the inner side of the drivers seat has broken. The part number written on the inside of the handle is 0960000800. I've looked on Etka but it does not find it. If i go to the dealer do you think they will be able to find it? Does anyone have any ideas?

Sorry but I would be very surprised if it isn't obsolete. You could try somewhere like capital seating to see if they can obtain one. But how has it broken? Could it be repaired?

The slot on the inside has split. I've searched on the forum and found a link to a Porsche handle that looks identical:

yeh very much obselete from everywhere i'm afraid, the old ford focus rs tilt handle is very very similair to it, or just shove some hard as nails down the hole and bung it on.

i contacted them when i had my cloth recaros and they said the ones that match the corrado recaros are no longer available, the ones they sell are more rounded at the bottom of the handle, suppose you could buy four and then sell the remaining three as e-bay rare lol

Didn't manage to source an original handle but ordered a Porsche 911 handle from the link above which looks very similar.
