17x7 et35 ok for VR6 rado??

Recommended Posts

Hello all just wondering if the size and former mentioned in the title would work ok on a VR6 rado? I'm told the factory rims are et43? Any advice would be great. I'd fit moderate sized tires if I had theses rims 205/40 or so and would like to know if I'd have rubbing issues when lowered. Cheers

I have 17x7.5 ET21 on my fronts.

You'll have no issues.

5x100 naturally

in that case the wheels are more or less perfect for your car. mine are offset 33 & 8" wide. I did have a few scrapes on the front with 215 tyres (car is pretty low) but with 205s they are sound.

enjoy.

Yeah' date=' rolled and no liners[/quote']

Thats the thing mate, standard arches and with the liners in your looking more like et35 on a 7-8 wide rim running 30-50mm lower

Yeah, I ran 7j ET35 previously and they were fine with standard arches and liners, it was lowered so the arch sat just above the tyre with no issues. Now I've gone wider and lower I needed the work.

OP should be fine with ET35 on a 7J, with sensible lowering. All depends how low he wants to go really.
