Quick question for electrical gurus

Recommended Posts

Is the black wire on the vr6 gearbox a switched live? Just would like to tap into one in the engine bay to make it easier with wiring in a relay

I'll try and get a pic uploaded

Many thanks

Some more information would be handy, what gauge is this black wire, and where does it go from and to. I use the extra m5 fasteners on the battery terminals for extra ground wire, or you could use the battery to block ground cable, make sure you clean the terminals.

Yes that's the gearbox reversing light switch, which won't leave your reversing light on when you turn the ignition off

Hi Matt i think its 0.5 gauge by the looks of it. I am wanting to switched supply for a relay that will be placed near the battery transfer box unit from a BMW. Thanks for the reply
