Piece of piss Andy take off black cap that cover the 2 bolts that hold the tank to the body undo them, disconnect the top hose that connects to the top rad hose and disconnect the bottom water hose pull the tank upwards to remove, slide in new tank, reconnect the hoses, do up the bolts refit the black cover and refil the tank!!! Job done should only take about 5 mins!!!

Thanks Ant, hopefully I'll be able to get it changed this weekend :D Are you going to AmD?

Nigel- good idea about the bleaching- may give that a go before paying out for a new one.

Yeh, bleaching sounds too much bother (good idea though), I'll just pop a new one in :)

Shame you're not going Ant- would be nice to put some faces to names! Doesn't seem like many people on here are going :(

It seems to get plenty of attention.. I had about 8 people at the AGM come over to me with something like "You must be Jim.." :)

I'll look forward to meeting you if I make it down :)

I'm about to have a stab at changing the expansion tank on my '92 VR6. Only worry is that I'm gonna have to replace the coolant but to get the right mix, gonna have to draing the existing "water" thats in it.

Can anyone tell me the best way to go about draining the system?

Cheers :?
