windscreen wiper intermittent wipe twin speed?

Is it just me or does the 'rado have two speeds for the intermittent wipe? Mine seems to fluctuate between two speeds but I have absolutely no idea how to select one or the other.

 

Any clues?

You can set it for any speed up to about 1 every 30 seconds (I think).

 

With intermittent on, turn it off, wait as long as you want the gap to be and then turn on again. It'll keep wiping at that rate.

Yep, and you can use the same relay on nearly all older VAG cars to give the same functionality. Had this on my MkII and on the Audi Coupe Quattro.

Another one that I've heard people being surprised about is the closure (if you don't use an alarm) of the sunroof/windows if you lock the car and hold the key in the lock in the turned position.

 

I was also going to say about the Storm being 5 mph faster in reverse as well but I'm fairly sure that's common knowledge.

Knew about the total closure as I have always had an alarm that operates it.

 

Didn't know about the Storm though.

This is why so many Storms get damaged / written off when they are being parked - almost uncontrollable imo...

The Storm being faster in reverse is an easy fix though - according to the Bentley, you just need to carefully prise two badges off with a flat blade screwdriver.
