Bournemouth James 0 Posted April 12, 2004 One of my rear tyres has worn out more arround outter side of the tyre than the inside What could be causing this?, could it be the camber out?, althou it doesent look it
Supercharged 2 Posted April 13, 2004 The rear camber is not adjustable, I suppose if the front is out then it could affect the rear wear, also could be an unbalanced wheel or bearing on its way out, also check your rear suspension, axel bushes etc... Ice White Socks 0 Posted April 13, 2004 The rear camber isn't adjustable but that doesn't mean it can't be out. I would get the camber checked- if it is out it could be possibly bent stub axle, then maybe a bent rear axle- at worst it may have been bent in a shunt :( . To be honest you would need a seriously shagged bearing or axle bush to get a scubbed outer tyre. Mike
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 13, 2004 Have you hit any kerbs recently? A hard side-on clout could possibly have bent the stub axle to make the wheel toe out or toe in too much. Get someone to follow you and check for the car crabbing.... then get it on a 4 wheel laser jig. K
