passenger window

Recommended Posts

i have conducted a srearch but found no definitive answer to this, my passenger window stopped working a few days ago (in the up postion thank god) and now refuses to do anything.

drivers side switch and passenger side switch both produce a voltage drop when the car is running so the switches are good. but there is no noise, clicksm

,sounds of any kind coming from the window itself, is it the control module or the reg? as i said i did a search but no one actually stated what the fix was/is

thanks jamie

Do you have a 12v test light? If so I'd start looking for power in the door at the loom plug (While operating switches) to see if you are getting a voltage for both up and down at the plug. If you are, then the regulator may be knackered/jammed/stuck.

If not, then time to work your way back to the control module and check for output voltages there, same idea when up/down operated from the switches.

Also, just worth a try...Just pop out the switch in the passenger door, unplug it, and then try operating the window again from the drivers door.
