My new Corrado 16V :)

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I've had my 16V just over a week now, and alredy the faded red paint has bugged me, so I got hold of a Makita Polisher and set to :).

Heres my result after 5 and a half hours today!

I'm pretty happy with how it has come up, and hopefully it'll get better if I do it a few more times!

Splitter and grill are now clean (pretty much). Took these photos before I was finished - oh the excitement :p

And yeah I dont mind them at all, they will be getting replaced one day though!

Has come up well and the lack of sunroof is a complete bonus..

Thanks :). I'm not a fan of sunroof's, especially in an old VW - accident waiting to happen! haha

It came off mine pretty easily as I used a lot of water with the compound and took my time rather than just attacking it :). Needs another few goes to get it nice, but the bloody thing is covered in key marks from some angry ******* and has a fair few little dings. Once my Caddy is all finished, I might give the Corrado a nice paint to bring it out top notch!
