ChrisL 20 Posted February 12, 2013 Selling my VR6 exhaust, cat back. It has 3 boxes in total and is in 1 piece at the moment. The front box looks good as does the back box. The only bad bit is the middle box which looks to have a second skin over the main bit and this is flaking a bit where the pipes go in and out (if that makes sense). No holes in it though. I could be interested in the front section only..... but it would depend on condition / price / postage down South. Any idea how old it is, any rust round the joints / baffle loose ? pictures would be great if you have a moment ..... but no rush as it would be as a spare. dr_mat 0 Posted February 13, 2013 Yes the big centre box is dual-skinned and they do tend to grow a coating of rust very quickly but it's nothing to worry about and they'll last for ten or fifteen years. Cost from VW UK is (was) around £300 + VAT, and that didn't include the front box either. Now obsolete as far as I'm aware.. The front box is actually separate and costs £100 + VAT on its own.
