Jim Bowen 1 Posted April 19, 2013 Is the shampoo or anything else you use "wax safe". Some say they are. I would use a hard wax like collinite 915. That's what I use.
seanl82 23 Posted April 19, 2013 They are both budget products and you get what you pay for tbh. With regard to the detailer wax, its just a quick detailer at a guess, so is not gonna give you any sort of lasting protection anyway.
vw rule 19 Posted April 19, 2013 I think as well there is a product that covers over your paint in a clear fine film, protecting it from stone chips and tar and salt spray up and prevents too much UV light attacking the paint. The product is Dura Shield you have the whole car sprayed with it, and it can last for 3 or 4 years. I had mine done years ago just to try it and it does work well, but I think I had a different product but was very similar to the above Dura Shield. VAG-hag 0 Posted April 20, 2013 Get yourself a nice tub of collinite, cheap and very very durable.
