Mawrick 0 Posted May 22, 2013 What is supposed to be the difference between "norm" and "max" on the A/C?. I'm a bit unsure if my connectors are on wrong knob - but I also suspect I have a problem with one of the modes, as on one of them (I think it was normal - I'm not where the car is atm so can't check) it will blow cold air wherever the "valve" is positioned - BUT when I switch to the other mode, it seem to be closing something and it sounds like the air is sendt somewhere inside the dash ? - can't seem to feel the air coming out of any of the vents..... Any tips ? - also does it work on all 4 positions ?
fla 9 Posted May 22, 2013 it basically controls the inlet flap on the duct box. Norm leaves it in the open position and max closes it so it is only cabin air being circulated. If you remove the mesh on the blower intake, you'll see the flap rack and pinion setup. IN fact you can manually move the flap to the closed position to see what the button actually does. Its worthwhile giving the flap edge a clean to ensure it doesn't stick!
