Will a Passat VR6 engine fit into a Corrado VR6

:) Just a wild query: I've been offered a Passat VR6 engine (1995);apparrently in good condition as a replacement for my worn VR6 - will it fit onto a standard VR6 Corrado manual gearbox or will mods be required?

Indeed, 2.8 as put in the Golf VR6. According to my little engine code list, the C VR lump only found it's way into a Golf III Synchro.

 

Having said that, didn't the US VR's (SLC) come with the 2.8 lump too? Can't be all that hard to swap one in surely...

Yep - US Corrado VR's were the 2.8 jobbie as well.
