Does your Vr always run fast on warm up ?

Recommended Posts

As above , will your Vr run fast from cold even if its been in the sun All day ? Or should it run at normal tick over ? Is this because the sender is sending the message that it does not need any air ?

I replaced all three of these , a thousand miles back . So I'm right in saying that it won't always run fast ?

Even when mine has been sat in the baking sun for hours, it'll often still idle slightly higher than 'normal' for the first 20-30 seconds or so, before settling down to the normal VR6 idle speed.

It's down to water temp. There is a blue temp sender on the coolant manifold which tells the ecu when the engine is up to temp.

Need to get my car on a vagcom I think . If it is the blue sender that's playing up , yeah it's no big deal to replace it but its only done 1500 miles .
