Need to top up oil , is mixing ok ?

Recommended Posts

I had an oil change a while back and when I checked it yesterday it's used some , I used the Tps quantum oil . I'm not sure if it was fully synthetic or not? I'm going to get some today from Halfords as Tps is shut now , will it matter that much to mix it . I have checked my folder of receipts but can't find it .

Thanks

Rob

The oil TPS told me was for the vr is synta platinum which is 5w40 fully synthetic. If you go for the same grade good quality it shouldn't matter.

My local TPS are often confused about oil recommendations, have been supplied fully and semi-synthetic 6 months apart from them !!

The manual states that you should use 10W40 or 15W40. So Quantum Silver 10W40 has alsways been the ideal choice for the Rado, especially as it's cheap.

Fine to top up with a different grade.
