mk2vr6 0 Posted May 18, 2004 my car seems to build up quite a heat when left to idle... after looking into it the fan on the left(the one without the motor) does not come on, just the one on the right does - is this belt driven? if so how much and how easy?, my rad also seems to have a few small bashes- i assume this wont help ? cheers for any help Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 18, 2004 Yeah there's a very thin belt that connects to the left side to the driven side. Sounds like yours has either snapped or fallen off. Not sure how much to fix as it's not a common issue. Probably a few quid for the belt and I reckon the fan shroud will have to come off to fit the belt.
