VR6 Ignition leads... VW no longer supply! :(

Recommended Posts

How come you have wired them not following the grooves normally?

Might be on purpose or an error or the lead lengths? I just noticed them crossing over and am curious.

Oops my mistake ! They are the correct lengths , yes your right I have got two in the wrong grooves , I will change them over tomorrow . Well spotted . Just to clarify they do fit spot on though .

Rob

That's what happened with mine after the mechanic replaced the sparks :-(

I use the tool to remove them. Have removed them so many times and never had an issue. I'm going to stick up for the beru leads. Although I said the same about the coil pack and it broke later that week.

Same here - always use the tool although it's not like you have to do it very often

magnecore when setting them up (i have 8mm blue ones in my vr6) to sell at heritage i found out

The 7mm ones they do come only in black

The 8mm ones they do come only in blue

and i think the 8.5 or 10mm ones were red IIRC

I have teh blue ones fitted they just about fit int he plastics on my VR6 with some force an filing. I have some BBT black leads to go in mine as i want the original look not too sure what they are like, i was given them adn have heard good and bad things about them.
