Alty 10 Posted April 10, 2014 Driving to work this morning I noticed my high beam isn't working! Managed to have a quick look when I got to work but all fuses are fine even the two fuses in the uprated loom, I Think its more than a fuse somewhere as when I put the high beam on even the working low beam lights go off ...... ? Any ideas on this so i dont have to pull the whole loom to check it out? Bulbs are 2 months old would be very strange for both to pop at same time? Thanks in advance. GlosterOx 0 Posted April 10, 2014 Has one of the relays gone in the uprated loom, perhaps check for corrosion etc? Ian.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted April 10, 2014 I had something like this happen and it turned out to be my stalk on steering column, wasn't switching circuits properly.
G60 CS 0 Posted April 10, 2014 mines done this too was down to the dangerous uprated loom I bought, have had a relay go, fuse go , corrosion etc etc been more trouble than the £35 I paid for it. I Also own a T4 and bought an uprated loom for that from a company rather than an individual, completely different experience with it, built properly, works well, no issues, simple install etc etc
Roger Chatfield 0 Posted April 10, 2014 Sounds like the high beam relay has failed, does the blue led come on when you select high beam? if it does the stalk is in good order, also the fact that the dipped beam goes out suggests the stalk is good.
