ABS light always on

Recommended Posts

Evening all hope you all had a great weekend. I have an issue with my Corrado, the ABS light is permanently on. I am guessing this is a sensor issue. I was wondering, is there a way of finding out which sensor is responsible?

You can do a resistance checks on each sensor. They should be between 1 and 1.3 ohms. If they aren't, the sensor has had it! Unfortunately that won't tell you if there are other faults apart from the sensors. Also, if it is a duff sensor, the fault will remain hard locked on an the light will remain lit for something like 25 or 30 full system starts.

Get it scanned with vcds to get the full story.

Yup. VCDS Scan will tell you which sensor is kaput. Does a bad sensor keep the light on permanently? When I scanned mine 2 weeks ago there were 3 sensor errors, I cleared them and they haven't come back. ABS light was behaving as normal.

Can't remember the exact fault codes from mine. Just it was 3 corners of the car. Must have been intermittent or out of range faults.
