Which discs for 288mm conversion

Recommended Posts

Got MK4 GTi calipers and carriers for my 288mm conversion and presumed I could use the discs also, but reading various posts on here I believe thats a no no? Just laid one flat side by side with my VR6 280 disc and the 288 sits higher so the offset is obviously larger. Are the options late MK3 GTi and late Golf VR6 yeah………?

The 288s JUST fit under the standard 15" wheels. Have a look in the wiki section on the brake upgrade thread, it'll tell you exactly what you need.

Physically the same, but the thread pitch on the banjo is a different size. 1mm for mk 4, 1.5mm for mk3 iirc.
