The previous owner of my C paid £253.88 to have the alloys re-furbed (& re-balanced) in Oct 2001 - but it was money well spent cos they still look pristine :D

(I've got all receipts for all work done on the car in a specially made service history folder! This guy was obsessive!)

spit and polish are ment to be good aswell, they charge £50 per wheel, well they did when my mate got his done and they collected them, but i cant remember if paid extra for that.

menace2society, I could recommend somewhere but it`s at the other end of the country from you and half the price you guys have been quoted.I got mine done and they came back like new. :) 8)

I used spit and polish for my Storm's wheels in Feb this year. They had to go back twice as the initial quality wasn't great but they got there in the end. They were badly kerbed, scratched, chipped and the laquer had come away over the previous 7 years but they now look great.

Hi Skid,

I have a number of a guy in Carnoustie. He is very good with reconditioning wheels

and is reasonable on price. £100 for 4 cash. I will soon be needing a set of wheels

reburb'd shortly, and i also know scotcorradog60 is needing his done soon too.

Maybe if I call the guy we could get a good deal on all the wheels. :p

So are we. Carnoustie is't that far away really. 45mins.

The guy will strip and paint your wheels to whatever colour you like.

He has got a nice high power silver he uses for his wheels.

Choice of colour will probably cost more tho.

Does he refurbish any marks in the wheels too?

Have a couple of small scuffs on 1 wheel????? :(

If he has a web address it would be handy to check him out.

I know that ...Finnese(?) in Aberdeen do them but aparantly take ages and the finish is not always gauranteed  :x

hi stevie.....

if you pm Ess Three(glenn with the Audi S3 at the duthie park meet a few weeks back) on this list he'll tell you more as he normally has coatech in carnoustie(which pau1 is on about) do wheels regularly for him and the finish is pretty hot too(seen his C vr6 speedlines that he has on his gti-anniversary......very good quality too) .....tho he does do most of the prep work prior to taking them down but he'll be able to give you an idea of whats needed or not

so you on for going down to biggar next week too??
