Factory extra Recaro's

Looking at getting some recaro's in the near future. Question is, what option did my corrado have from the factory for recaro's? Would like to keep in period.

 

It's a 1994 2.0 16v. Also i noticed some corrado front seats come with the bigger bolsters, is this a modification or did certain years/cars come with larger bolsters?

 

If anyone would be able to list fabric options/electric options/bolster options that would be great.

As far as im aware there is these options

 

Black cream or grey leather

These would be electric heated and adjustable i think

 

Then there is

Black cloth electric adjustable

Ultraviolet adjustable

 

Theres not actually that many variations i dont think but im sure someone will put me right

Half leather wasn't available in the UK, bigger bolsters were on the MK2 Golf

Also the Golf Recaro's have one way electric movement (back adjustment I think) while the Corrado Recaros have two way (back and height).

They are golf mk2 but with the small bolsters? Or is that just my eyes? I keep looking at pictures of corrado recaro's and some of the bolsters appear to be small and some are big, like the half leather seats seem to always look bigger.

So was this cloth available for the late spec corrado's? I don't want to end up buying recaro's and they are not the right period cloth/leather option. Was ultraviolet only available for early spec?

Yep, two way electric recaro.

 

They sit at the right height for the Corrado and I have matching rear seat

 

Does this make them rare? ;) I was going to have them covered in black leather

The red/grey seats were only available in a Corrado up to 1991, it is the same pattern as the mk 2 Golf but the seat is different and as some folks have pointed out will also be 2 way adjustable.

 

As for the rarity, they are fairly rare, there was also a blue stripe version that I have seen more of over the years.
