ABS light on

Recommended Posts

okay have a prob with the ABS light staying on , on a storm.

taken it to VW as i used to work there and the 1551 says 00532 supply voltage

now you can clear the fault code but the light stays on

if you turn ignition off and on again the fault returns

anyone know where the fuses are is it only fuse 16 or are there more. also any idea on extra relays or anything else it could be please.

if anyone has a wiring diagram i would be most grateful

cheers guys

there's been a couple of people who have had problems with the multi plug which connects to the bottom of the pump... if this has a dodgy contact in it, it'll throw the code you have... Also check the multiplug on the ABS brain (beind the carpet on the passenger front wheel arch) as this would do the same... 8)

okay guys found the prob

had already checked the multi plug on the pump and all was well

found the brain and it was missing a live feed ( guessing by wire colours as have no wiring diagram )

removed clifford alarm module and low and behold above the passenger glovebox a plate bolted to the bulkhead has 3 relays and 2 fuses on it. check fuse 1, all okay, check fuse 2...................... no fuse present.

so all okay and another happy mate 8)
