isaidthephil 10 Posted January 1, 2015 Hi All, I joined the forum a while back with the intention of getting a VR6 for a bit of fun whilst I built my Rocco. This never happened and I decided to spend more money on the Rocco. Anyhoo I thought some of you may be interested in seeing what I have done so far seeing as the Raddo is the baby brother of the Rocco. Long story cut short; I owned a Green GT11 which I fitted a 1.8 16v KR in. I also removed all the injection and replaced with Bike carbs. I had big plans for the green one but then a black Scala shell came on the market which seemed too good to miss. I bought the shell in April 2014 along with a load of other bits such as new wheels etc and began to build the new car using all the running gear, engine, and interior from my old rocco. I got the car running but had a couple of electrical faults and then it decided to stop starting and blowing fuses. Over the past two weeks i have finally fixed all the electrical issues meaning i can now start to tart it up and HOPEFULLY get ready for Ultimate Dubs 2015 :) Here are some pics of it through the process and a little vid. Hopefully I can post some better pics in a few weeks when it starts to get tarted up :) My original Rocco; Conversion from fuel injection to bike carbs; Spec; GSXR 750 Carbs re-jetted Custom stainless manifold Facet Red Top fuel pump filter king fuel regulator New Shell arrived; Start the surgery; Routing wiring; One empty old shell; Fitting interior;

BarberG60 10 Posted January 6, 2015 Nice car mate. I could be wrong, but did the black shell come from Kent? Sure it's my friends old one.
isaidthephil 10 Posted January 6, 2015 Thanks for all the positive comments guys :) I originally came from owning and playing with MK1 Golfs so was pleasantly surprised when I found out the MK2 Rocco is pretty much the exact same setup :) @BarberG60 - Indeed I did buy the shell of a cheeky chappy from down south (not sure if it's Kent) called James Cook :) Nice guy.
