Wayne2015 10 Posted May 14, 2015 My driver door i REALLY need to slam it to close  Or hold it and push hard/fast to close :shocked!: Unlike my Honda which i can adjust the door lock latch adjusting those 2 screws: How do I adjust the C door so close softer?
Wayne2015 10 Posted May 14, 2015 That's it Wayne. 12a should be on the inside face of the handle. If it's missing, it's also easy to fit and cheap enough. Oh There is TWO white plastic bits??? I guess the original one was lost BEFORE i bought the C then...
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted May 14, 2015 Actually I'm wrong Wayne. It should be item 13, but that's not very clear on the drawing. Item 12 goes on the inner face of the handle like item 12A.
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted May 14, 2015 12 and 12A are black. Your stricker pin should also have a bit of nylon around it.

leon263 0 Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) The door pin on the bodywork is adjustable. Simply put a spanner on it, unscrew it a couple of turns and it will slide up, down, in and out. Slide it out slightly, nip it up and try closing the door and you should have a 'softer close'. Keep trying until you get it the way you want it. I'd suggest fitting new pins as there should be a nylon sleeve on the pin. Simply screw the pin completely out and screw the new one in. They are widely available on e-bay for very little money. Check out the example below. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK2-CORRADO-SCIROCCO-POLO-DOOR-LOCK-STRICKER-PIN-x-2-C01-/200959815258?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item2eca236e5a Edited May 14, 2015 by leon263

Wayne2015 10 Posted May 18, 2015 Rained overnight ... The sunroof leaks this morning :( :( :( From driver drain tube... From driver rear drain tube... Is it safe to disconnect the drain tubes (attached to sunroof), Pull it off and poke a coat hanger in??? Will anything break by taking it off? Or it s supposed to leak? Lots of rain - but i wouldnt say its heavy ... Well We know the drain outlet + tubes are clear. Not so sure about the drain channels on sunroof cassette (nor how rain leaks from sunroof to drain channels)??? This time i parked the car the other way (facing up the slope now). And its wet in the rear seat (not the front too this time) I think i will just have to remove the whole sunroof cassette at one point to fix that leak! Wayne2015 10 Posted May 22, 2015 Slight leak from coolant bottle ... Not enough to leak onto floor below though Dosent seem to leak from black cap (top 1/2 of bottle) Certainly some leak from 1/2 way (sitting on the lip?) So where is my leak? And is the bottle made in 2 halves (just tighten it? But how)???
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted May 22, 2015 New bottle. It's only going to get worse.

Chuggs1 10 Posted May 22, 2015 Think they are fairly cheap and while you're at it get one with blue cap
Wayne2015 10 Posted May 22, 2015 Think they are fairly cheap and while you're at it get one with blue cap Not concerned with parts, Chuggs. Its the work involved! Any tips (from one novice to another)? 1. Drain whole system (from where? Need to lift car)? 2. Fill up (how much coolant)? 3. Thats it? Why blue cap?
Chuggs1 10 Posted May 22, 2015 Lol no tips from me. Haha. And appreciate what your saying although can't you replace without draining the full system then top up. And blue cap apparently better and allows it to let some pressure off i think. Lots of advice on changing to the blue one.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 22, 2015 Hopefully its not pressurising and chucking it out the overflow, this is what happened to me when head gasket went. Again could be the black cap. Not too bad to change the header tank, you just need to empty the coolant out of it without needing to empty the whole system, its the highest point in the system. I'd just pull the pipe off the bottom of it and have some old rags/t-shirts under it to soak the water up.
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted May 22, 2015 Blue one is better. More robust. It's at the top of the system Wayne, Unbolt the old one, swap the hoses over and refill any that is lost in the process.
Chuggs1 10 Posted May 22, 2015 When mine leaked I had the worry that it was head gasket. It wasn't it was just the thermostat stuck
Wayne2015 10 Posted May 22, 2015 U sure guys???? Just dig this out and :shocked!: BLUE bottle it is! Where VW? Full concentrate or 50/50? A litre enough for the bottle?

Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 22, 2015 Worth looking at getting the Mk4 tank and lid, plus sensor, am sure it was actually cheaper than the corrado bits from VW. You won't need to drain the whole system.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 22, 2015 Black cap looks dry and top 1/2 of bottle clean too! Just bottom half wet! Have you got the black flap on the side of it, behind there is a hole. Could just be the tank itself leaking, which is probably the best and cheapest outcome.
