Anyway So far its only costed me: £140 for refurb radiator fan (mod) £13 rear light seals £10 engine bay plenum guard (mod) So MG been surprisingly well behaved :thumbleft: Something about it that I not comfortable So much when I went to buy it I had EXACTLY the same guy feeling as the C - don't buy! But MG been good :) But I still not happy :( Especially when parked on public road and inconvenient to detail or tinker with ...

Hairyarse 10 Posted July 29, 2015 Once driven a VR6 - can't have anything else ... The noise is hard to beat, but for me if I buy another it's very likely to be a 16v again, rather than VR6. I really liked the VR and it looked lovely, but I loved the 16v more for some reason?

coullstar 0 Posted July 29, 2015 There no chance of them getting even close to that price. Cheap older cars will always have issues, just do a bit of research and ask on forums for opinion before buying. I reckon if you had asked on here about your white C before buying we would have all said no. I remember reading the advert before you bought it and I wouldn't gone near it. I really liked the VR and it looked lovely, but I loved the 16v more for some reason? Before buying the C I was buying the Mk2 Golf GTi 8v Sure 8v less power than the 16v - but been told 8v more engaging and fun? Is this what u mean by the 16v, Andy? What about the Supercharger?

Sadly I just bought it by myself and fell in love with it immediately :( Missed her a lot - but at least the new owner got time/money and the tools to restore her now :thumbleft:
Hairyarse 10 Posted July 29, 2015 I meant the 2.0 16v Corrado Wayne, like the white one I used to have. It was a really nice car to drive.

I know I meant is the 16v C more fun in other ways than the more powerful VR6 ? The Golf comparison was just a metaphor  If I still had a garage I would buy a cheap C to tinker with in a heart beat (AS LONG as its mechanically sound -)
Hairyarse 10 Posted July 29, 2015 I suppose it's just different - and down to personal taste. I love the sound of the VR6, but just loved the way the 16v drove. There's nothing tangible I can put my finger on - esp. as my valver was pretty rough looking, I just loved it more.
MZpog 10 Posted July 29, 2015 Wayne mentions the power of the VR but only got to watch my spoiler on our blast down the bypass.
