Re the tar remover my trigger finger got the better of me again. As soon as it was first mentioned on this thread I ordered a litre from the bay. eBay phone app + trigger finger can be a devastating combination.

Hmm, typical that I find this too late after having been away from the Forum for a couple of days and not paid attention.

Chazrad - We've had one drop-out now but someone had already pm'd me about being first reserve, so you're next on the list should anyone drop-out.

 

With regards to the next round of this, originally the maker said that he wont have any more until autumn time. However, he messaged me last night to say that he could do another run but it would be a 20-off minimum order quantity. Before considering that I need to get this group-buy out of the way as don't think I can justify my time for free for 20+ kits - I just wouldn't have the time to spare.

 

I'll update on this however once this one is supplied.

I'm looking into a source for the foam... Not found it yet.... Im having a set made out of some fancy aircraft foam, as a spare set for me. My mate has a foam cutting business.

 

Please no pm to me.... I'm not into manufacturing loads and making money.

Ok so I'm ready to pay. However, (no I'm not sodding off on holiday with the money! Lol) as well as our 18 late style kits, he has 1 early style kit available.

 

Our reserves both want late style so this early style kit is available. So as not to delay things too much, I'll give anyone until close of play tomorrow to order and pay for the early kit - at which point I'll then pay the maker for our order with or without this early kit.

 

He has already made our kits now so shipment to the UK will be pretty much immediate! :thumbleft:

 

So, one early kit available at €55 if anyone wants it?

Do you know what - if I take my foam off and my bonnet looks like that underneath, the foams going straight on eBay (with a bargain £150 Buy It Now)

It did cross my mind! OEM all the way for me though. Or as close as.

 

I recommend using some disposable gloves. The adhesive still does it's job very well even when it's scraped off & definitely cover the engine bay first or you'll have a nightmare.
