vr6 rado help plz

Recommended Posts

hi guys got a strange one here for you i hope someone out there can help.

i bought a non running vr to find the engine has never been run since a full rebuild with cams head rings valves plugs ect oil and filter oil is brand new. it turns over fine but just wont go. i have checked a few things and its had a new crank sensor. i check the ecu inside to find a burnt out resistor or some tiny component so replaced it with another one but still wont go.

there are 3 relays missing from the left side of the fuse box but cant find out anywhere that tells me what they are for.

the fuel pump doesnt start wen i turn the key so guessing one is for it?

it seems to not have a spark wen i crank it but sometimes wen u stop cranking it sparks once or twice.

any

Few things to make sure you have got before going any further, continuous and strong spark, fuel going into the bores.

Check ignition timing, and valve timing is correct. Have you got compression in the cylinders?

These would be the things i would check and then go from there.

Fuel pump relay is 67 or 167, and is on the bottom right. There are a few relays that won't be there, I forget exactly where but the left 2 definitely aren't there mate.
