Yes it does raise itself . Mine raises at 50 mph , others will raise at 45 mph . You can change the settings . If yours is not raising , which I guess is the reason for your post , I would check the fuse . If this is fine , then you will have to give the motor contacts and the movements a good clean . Failing that if it does not work a new motor might be required .

If it raises on its own via the manual switch then you can rule out the spoiler mechanism, it may then be a faulty controller (located inside the dash near the switch) or a the hall sender on the gauges is broken which is where it gets the speed signal from.
