Headlights reflectors dull due to age and failed the mot :(

hi people, can anybody help me out with a place to go or d.i.y job of painting the chrome reflective part of the headlights, mine are both dull as the car is over 25 years old now. Has failed the mot this year and it really needs doing. Thanks :)

Chrome paint maybe ? Iv heard of people ising a pva glue then tin foil !! Seems messy but according to the internet people once the glass is back on you cant tell

there's a place in Birmingham I think that does rechroming of mgf plastic headlight reflectors, was discussed on here a while back, not cheap to get done though, but it's either that or second hand I think now.

Indeed. We've talked about this place more times than I can count over the last 6 or so years on here, but I've no idea if anyone has actually tried them yet! :) Waiting for the day my car fails the MOT for dull headlights but until then, hoping someone will try them and give some feedback!

A lad in Ireland just restored some faded ford Sierra and Volvo headlight reflectors.

 

Top job and like new.

 

He paid was £75.00 incl vat

Might be of interest to you all.
