VR6 cooling system

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

In my continued effort to build myself a new car by replacing all the parts!, I'm now looking at replacing some of the cooling system - Water pump (plus belt & tensioner at the same time), thermostat housing & the coolant sensors, & maybe some of the hoses as required. Are these simple DIY jobs? Do I need any special tools etc?

Cheers,

Robbo

The water pump is easy.

No special tools required. Do a search I have explained it in the past. It's about 2 hours work.

You need to jack the engine up to gain access to the water pump pulley.

It's not hard mate......not meant in a condescending way.
