afterlife 10 Posted September 4, 2015 Hi guys, I've had my beloved Corrado VR6 for around two years now and for the first time I've had to change my battery.... to my utter horror I discovered that the battery tray is as rotten as a pear! Does anyone manufacture a panel for this area? Also, in general where is good for buying panels? I want to replace a wing as the indicator hole is crusty and also one of the sills has a small hole and because I'm anal I'd like to replace the entire sill... I am a welder so I'm allowed to be anal about welding! Just struggling to find anywhere that sells panels... help!

Just struggling to find anywhere that sells panels... help! hello m8 check here http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/scirocco-corrado/corrado/ for the panels if you want to order the best route is to do so through VW Heritage, annavr6 is a user on here who works there & you can PM her for help. my ordering from Heritage you will save on the german classic parts horrendous shipping charges. it does take approx. 3 weeks for the parts to arrive but it is a big saving I have recently brought & used the sill repair panel to do the passenger side on my VR FYI left outer sill is part number 535809847 ;) not sure if ive seen a battery tray section though hope that helps
Thursdave 10 Posted September 4, 2015 An awful lot of them simply aren't available any more, however for the sill's etc you can still get them from VW classic parts. Comes in three pieces, if I remember correctly - there's the whole A pillar section, the mid sill part, and the rear quarter panel. Actually, I've got the links saved in my favourites! Here's the battery tray: http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/console-535803093.html A pillar section: http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/scirocco-corrado/corrado/body/exterior/sub-part-535809840a.html centre sill section: http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/scirocco-corrado/corrado/body/exterior/sub-part-535809848.html rear quarter (the expensive bit!) http://shop.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/vwcp/scirocco-corrado/corrado/body/exterior/sub-part-535809844a.html Hope that helps, Dave

Thursdave 10 Posted September 4, 2015 One of the benefits of having 'proper' ETKA and not relying on partscats.info is you can do a brand wide search from a part number to see exactly what the hell some bits are. ;)

EG for what I believe was a factory option body kit?
Thursdave 10 Posted September 4, 2015 There's no body kits listed on ETKA at all :(
g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted September 4, 2015 There's no body kits listed on ETKA at all :( oh I see ok - thanks for the reply fortunately I managed to find the holy grail front spoiler I was hunting (thanks to goldie on here who is a cracking guy & even altered his route to meet me with it) but im still curious if there is a new one out there hiding in storage somewhere I had emailed Kamei in Germany but still no response I wonder if wheeler dealer's Ed would lend me his plastic repair kit to repair the one I have off goldie lol

afterlife 10 Posted September 4, 2015 I should think I could just get away with the front section of the sill if it comes in three parts anyway that sort of defeats the object of me being anal as I wanted to replace it all so it's perfect but even if I do replace it all it needs welds joining the sections anyway so its a waste of time. I don't suppose anyone knows how far along the sill the front section protrudes? The hole is right at the front but just about 1" away from the bottom of the arch. Also regards the battery tray, whats that elongated bit all about?
