thesingh 0 Posted January 28, 2016 I want to paint center cap to my wheels to have a chrome like finish. Can any one recommend a spray I can use?
seanl82 23 Posted January 28, 2016 I used chrome spray paint once, and in all honesty I wouldn't bother. Turns out nothing like chrome, more a slightly reflective (being generous) shade of silver. That was a plasticote can iirc.
delfinis38 1 Posted January 28, 2016 As Sean says don't waste your money and time... Did similar on a VW badge... Not worth the effort it's pants.
thesingh 0 Posted January 28, 2016 Thats what Im afraid of. Every time I see video of of any one chrome spray they always have a black undercoat. Any information or any one experience would be great.
fla 9 Posted January 28, 2016 I had my rims powder coated with a chrome finish as I didn't want to keep polishing them. Not bad at all tbh but not quite the super shiny finish you usually get with a polished metal finish.
thesingh 0 Posted January 28, 2016 Im not after a super mirror finish, but something close to it. I was looking at a Chrome Powder coating option, but was hoping to keep cost down as its only a small part of the wheel I want to paint (Center cap of the BBS reps where the logo sits)
