its not too difficult. You need to undo front and rear engine mounts and jack up the engine till you can get access to all 3 bolts that are on the water pump pulley. Obviously the air box needs to be out. If you find it wont jack up enough for you to get access to all 3 bolts you can try un-doing the gear mount aswell.

Anyway, you need a long bolt of the correct thread to go into the hole that can be seen on the belt tensioner. I found one through trail and error. Think an 8mm is the right size, not sure! Screw that into the hole until the belt becomes slack. You then need to undo the 3 bolts on the pulley and then remove this. There are then 3 bolts that hold in the water pump, undo these and the pump will then pull out. That you new pump and slide in and bob's your uncle. Reverse all that you did before and thats you done.

Yep, as Timo says, an 8mm threaded bolt (13mm head) is required for slackening the belt tension. Needs to be about 4 to 5" long and B&Q sell the perfect bolt for this

Everything else he says is also correct.

Takes about 2 hours in total.

Yeah!!! I DID GOOD!!!!!!! :D :D

It does sound a we bit tricky but it is quite and easy job, just takes a wee bit of time. Dont rush it and you will be fine, plus you're saving a shed load of money doing it yourself anyway!!! :D
