Tjninny 10 Posted April 30, 2016 Managed to rip my front bumper skin off by trapping the spoiler on my ramps when reversing off - problem is the clips holding the skin to the bumper bar have broken off. Any suggestions as to how I could re fasten the skin to the bumper bar? Gutted!!!
SR_Neale 10 Posted April 30, 2016 Have you got any pics? Are all the fixings broken?
Tjninny 10 Posted April 30, 2016 Only one fixing is ok, the others have snapped or pulled off - will have a look tomorrow when I've calmed down a bit to see whether I can fasten it with tie wraps or something.
Rado87 10 Posted May 1, 2016 Ive been struggling with my bumper recently and how it fixes etc, not realising that it does actually fix into the bumper bar with proper clips. Anyway, mine is fixed in with some self tapping screws behind the foglight/indicator clusters. Its pretty solid to be fair but I will be changing the screws for some nuts and bolts just to be sure. SR_Neale 10 Posted May 2, 2016 Personally I would be concerned about fatigue damaging the bumper over time so would consider using tiger glue to bond the shell to the bumper iron for additional support or use 2 pack glue to bond where fixing tabs are/should be. Just my opinion.

Tjninny 10 Posted May 2, 2016 Looking at things again I've sorted by using a couple of nuts and bolts as rado87 suggested and also managed to re use four of the clips - they had bent more than broken off, so happy I don't need to source a new bumper skin. Thanks for the advice from you both.
fla 9 Posted May 2, 2016 If its the plastic that's deformed try warming it gently with a heat gun and then 'reform' the profile.
