martim64cnh 10 Posted August 29, 2016 Hi guys Im new to the forum and dont have a lot of search experience here. I need advice, I just got porsche 18" alloys. I run 205 40 17 on my corrado now the 18 are 225 40 18 and looks huge compare to 17 on the car. What tyres should I use on 18" alloys. I did some research and found that 215 35 18 should fit but I dont want to spend £500 on new tyres and them find out its a wrong size. Many thnaks for help
fla 9 Posted August 29, 2016 18" will be too large for the corrado, 17" are just about the max you can go.
Hisnibs 10 Posted August 29, 2016 (edited) Couple of blokes on BurnAllTheCorrados (fb group) have done it - one as recent as the 18th of this month as it goes. I'd shout him. Personally i think it looks dog sh1t and god only knows what it drives like; I'll eventually go from 17 to 16 because it'll ride better hopefully. Best of luck. seanl82 23 Posted August 30, 2016 18" is really pushing it but if it's what you want mate, your call. 35 profile is correct for rolling radius, but it depends how wide the wheels are and what offset as to how wide the tyres need to be.
bristolbaron 10 Posted August 30, 2016 You've not really given enough information to answer the question as wheel widths and offsets will all have an effect. You'd struggle with a 215 tyre at the best of times so 205/35/18 is the best advice possible from the info you've given.
