Wesleyvr6 10 Posted October 2, 2016 Received mine safely thanks, just fitted them now and I'm not happy with the fit, they are very loose in the channel, it seems as if the tubing the hey are made from is not wide enough to keep them securely in the channel. The moulding doesn't sit flat with the roof in places and flaps about because they are not tight enough?? Anybody else fitted theirs and found this to be the case? delfinis38 1 Posted October 2, 2016 From memory mine were snug fit at the front and very slack at the rear. I had one of the origional extrusions before the end clips were produced so I had to cut the ends and use the origional VW end clips. They took a lot of modification to sit right. Surely taping them down will cause problems, because with them being loose dirt will find its way down the sides, these will then need removing to clean out the channel? Wesleyvr6 10 Posted October 2, 2016 I reckon driving on the motorway these would easily blow out. Strange as one side is tighter than the other. karmannski 0 Posted October 2, 2016 It seams to me that one side is to long and required some additional work to be done. Try to remove this small end clip that should give more room for the core to sit down then we will know what is the problem. Or there might be to much of the old tape underneath that push it up.
