My new car :)

Recommended Posts

So I have tried to restrain myself from posting about my new car.... but u have now caved because I'm over the moon with it and am a sucker for a little brag .

So here she is

Audi rs4 06 with 59k on the clock.

Completely standard and in the must have sprint blue with silver ears 😁.

The quilted seats sold it for me (I am a tart).

4.2 but naturally aspirated, although far from a lazy v8. They are 415 bhp standard but I believe alot of people get 440 with a remap and exhaust

ah i always thought the rs4 meant supercharged on these and the s4 were NA

my mates got an 03 s4 4.2 v8 NA

they do sound awesome especially with full milltek exhaust like my mates one has

Think the S4 are V6T aren't they?

Lovely car, would love one of these though doubt it would be too practical! lol.

No I think they just worked with the head and airflow to squeeze a bit more power out of the lump.

It pulls like nothing I have been in before and just rockets off with the 4wd.

Yeah the miltek is something that I think im going to be contemplating in the near future.

The old rs4's and s4's were v6 by turbos, can't remember what year those ones were though

I'm marginally jealous. I have a B7 A4 avant as a daily but only a tfsi engine. Gorgeous cars the rs4

I like the b7 estates and did even contemplate an avant 🤔.

B5 98-01 S4 and RS4 are V6 twin turbo.

B6 S4 V8 4.2 na

B7 RS4 V8 4.2 na

B8 S4 V6 supercharged

B8 RS4 V8 4.2 na

Nice car, they sound great. Has it been decoked recently? I was at a RR day with about 10 of these and not one of them were on standard power due to head coking. Most were around 380bhp so its good to get it done.

Yeah I have heard of the coking issues... this one was decoked at 36k so I might treat it at it's next service to some head treatment.

Although if I'm currently down on power then I would be amazed to see what she can do when breathing clean

My mates just bought one himself same colour, first thing he did was take the naff standard exhaust off and stuck a miltek catback on it. The car sounds absolutely amazing.

Do you knew if he got the resonated or non resonated and if it was valved or not. I have heard a non resonated and thought it might be a little to loud being a shift worker 😅 neighbours might complain about their new 4am v8 alarm clock

Non res, it's not mad loud until you boot it. Throaty though as all V8's are. He's a shift worker as well so if your neighbours are like his you'll be fine ha.

Seats are a work of art .

Thanks bud. they are smart I'm just paralytically worried about wearing the edges out climbing in and out.
