Dancing Fish 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Hi All, I have a 1.816v with standard seats. I believe the seats are a bit soft and are thus giving me some back jip. Does anyone else think this, and is there anything i can do, such as putting stuff in, rather than on, the seats?? Thanks in advance for your helpful advice, DF. RadoAds 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Mine were quite comfy although a little slim for my slender 17stone :?
Phil K 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Had early C seats in my Mk1 and these gave me back pains but the ones in my late spec C are fine - no probs at all :) I wonder if they improved lumber support on the later seats?
crazymarcel 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Maybe if ya car has done a few miles then they are gettin a wee bit soft/tired. Time to replace for a leather low mileage interia. :D
RadoAds 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Just noticed something that might do the trick depending on where your seats are soft, have a look :) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 91842&rd=
woody 0 Posted July 21, 2004 I was suffering from backache when i first bought the C. I replaced all of the foam within the drivers seats on my C and bolsters and now i have a snug fitting seat which is well comfortable.
kangaroo 0 Posted July 21, 2004 My old Golf Driver gave me permanent back-ache. The seats felt like they were carved from granite and if I drove for any longer than an hour I would be in need of stetcher support at the other end. I don't think there was any padding left at all. My leather Corrado seats are lovely though. The key is that they're bucket-like and provide support under my leg/knee area. Which is essential because I'm quite tall.
