ABS Pump for late VR6

Recommended Posts

Hi folks. Can anyone tell me the part number for the ABS Pump in a late VR6. I think mine needs replacing, and I don't have the unit handy to check the part number.

There are a few on ebay, but they have part numbers beginning 358 and seem to all be from Golfs.

If anyone this part going spare then please let me know!

thanks

My 95 VR6 pump part number is:

1H2 614 217A

A company called BBA Reman I believe can recondition your old one if it's faulty.

Thanks. Just managed to check mine and it's the same number you said.

Sadly BBA Reman have had the pump and returned it saying they can't fix it. Don't know why.

Does anyone have one for sale?

Alternatively, there's a couple on eBay that say they're for Corrado but they have a different part number. Can anyone comment on whether these parts will work in a Corrado VR6:

1H2614117 A

358614117

Thanks!

I fitted one with a different part number to mine, I still have the old one in the garage loft so can get some info for you Tuesday onwards.

Thanks Dox. I've read some comments where people say the one beginning with 358 isn't compatible so for now I'll pass. Thanks for the offer though.

What offer? lol. The old pump was faulty (multiple inlet / outlet valve issues), I swapped for one with a different part number, swapped the pedal sensor too a while later and its been perfect since.

The problem with ignoring the light is everything else goes tits up too so its multiple issues, its had wheel sensors and I've also trial fitted ECUs too

The offer of more info! Sorry, I thought you were offering your old pump.

If anyone has a spare 1H2614217A pump I'll have it.

Cheers.
