White smoke from back of engine bay

Recommended Posts

Done an oil and filter change today and fired her up for the first time in over 3 months.

Video here of gases, they seem to be coming from quite low down. I suspected they're coming from an exhaust gasket but wanted to make sure they aren't a sign of an engine about to implode

It could be a leaky exhust gasket or it could be some oil is dripping on your exhaust manifold somehere which also causes white smoke, is it still smoking when the engine is fully warmed up ?

looks like an oil drip probably from the pcv onto the exhaust heat shield. I would clean up the pcv, pipes and heat shield and observe any dripping. Also, after a run, have a look again and see if anything has collected on the heat shield - if so, you've found your culprit
