geordiedoors 10 Posted January 13, 2020 I have recently replaced my heater matrix and in my haste I forgot where the cables were routed for the slider controls. I was getting luke warm heat until I installed the lower parcel shelfs now heater seems to be cold only, this leads me to believe that the cables are not routed or attached correct. dr_mat 0 Posted January 13, 2020 I don't think it matters where you route the cables as long as they are not pinched and still free to move.
fendervg 33 Posted January 13, 2020 It might be the little metal clips that secure them each end have come off. If the outer cable is not fixed, the inner can't act on the levers etc. You might also find that a cable that appears to move freely when removed will not move easily when it is bent or clipped in place - in that case the best bet is to get new ones if you can. geordiedoors 10 Posted January 13, 2020 Thanks for the replies, I did purchase a new cable the black lower cable I think, I'm also hoping this is the temp cable? I can see a small kink in the blue cable this cable still moves freely enough, but still maybe the issue.
fendervg 33 Posted January 13, 2020 If the outer housing is old, it might compress enough with the clip on to make the inner cable hard to move.
