Ostkakan 11 Posted July 5, 2021 (edited) Hello Everyone! I have bin trying to change my bearing, hub and new driveshaft. What i dont understand is why my hub pressing in to far in to the bearing? Its press so far it touching my abs sensor and even the knuckle and then i cant even spin the hub Should it be a stop somewhere? I do support the inner bearing when i pressing in the hub. Already destroyed 1 bearing... Second try i stopped close to the sensor and knuckle put everthing thogether when i starting to screw the axel bolt i saw the hub moveing in more and toching the sensor i dont dare to press in more... I have checked out all youtube clips how to do it and its kinda straight forward job so i dont know what i do wrong here? This is what i have bought: SKF Wheel bearing VKBA 1491 SKF Driveshaft VKJC 1037 JP*Group Wheel hub 1H0407613B Edited July 5, 2021 by Ostkakan
Dox 23 Posted July 5, 2021 You push the bearing into the housing using the outer part of the bearing race only. then you support the inner part of the bearing at the rear as you push the hub into the bearing. hope this makes sense?

Ostkakan 11 Posted July 17, 2021 I got the other wheel bearing, it doesn't matter what side it goes in? One side with text and other none
Cressa 44 Posted July 17, 2021 Well the wheel bearing looks correct in the hub as the the circlip fits in the groove, so that can not be wrong Which leads me to the ABS ring not sitting in far enough
Ostkakan 11 Posted July 17, 2021 New bearing in! Mabye some diffrent with new and old hub. I have to use the new abs ring on the old hub... the old one is broken
Ostkakan 11 Posted July 17, 2021 It worked much better with old hub and i could torque it down. The abs ring touching slitly on the abs sensor but i move the sensor abit back. Now i have abs light on didnt have it when i used the new hub i guess the sensor is bad.
