dash speakers

Recommended Posts

I fitted 10cm JBL speakers on mine.

They don´t fit directly.

I needed to cut some little parts of the speaker.

Very easy job! 8)

Great sound! :D

The standard dash speakers are tweeters mounted to round plastic plates, which clip into the large dash hole. Many people, me included, just remove the factory tweeter and cut holes in the standard plates to accept the new tweeters. You can put small 2 ways in the hole but it's not really worth it imo.

I put two ways in the dash hole and it sounds nasty unless you have a sub to remove the bass frequencies....

Its why I have bought some focal components

I have a sub. I was pretty chuffed with them. Has made the back sound rather feeble. I'm going to have to do them now!
