Painting a spoiler?

Recommended Posts

Just recieved my new Kamei copy grill spoiler from GSF... seems to fit ok and once run some Silkaflex under it and glued it on to Corrado should look fine... no self tappers for me thanks!!! :mad:

Problem is it needs painting - is this something I can do myself (I have sprayed stuff before but not pearl paint!) or will it need to go to bodyshop?

Worth spending the cash and getting it done properly. I got mine sprayed profesionally for about £25. Well chuffed with result.

Here's a pic ;

Did mine myself on my aqua blue g60 (which is pearlescent). Quite straight forward really. Just wet and dry it, a few coats of plastic primer (with a bit more wet and dry in-between), then a few coats of paint (alternate layers of spraying horizontally and then vertically), finally a couple of layers of laquer. Obviously make sure each coat is completely dry before applying the next coat. HTH.
