Corrado spotting - July 2004

Recommended Posts

Green M-reg VR6 on the inside lane of the motorway near Bluewater. I was next to you in the middle lane, but you didn't seem to notice! Then you turned off before Medway.

Crazymarcel putting the VR up agains the R6 would be like knife at a gun fight....although I'm sure you were only kidding! My mate actually believed he had a chance in his Civic Type-R yesterday.....poor chap. Funny thing is the R6 ain't all that fast by bike standards really....0-60 in around 3 seconds and an eventual 165mph apparently. I don't know if you're aware of the Coltishall straight on the North Walsham - Norwich Road, but I managed an indicated 178mph down there on the new Honda Fireblade a couple of months ago (had the road closed for the test of course ). Now that's what I'm talking about!

Bikes rock....cars suck. End of! :p

Jo,

Why don't you get a big piece of cardboard and write "CORRADO-FORUM.NET" on it, and attach it to the front of your car? OK, you'll look like a complete fool for a morning's drive to work - but you might get an answer. Or laughed off the road.... I'm not helping am I?

Still haven't seen you driving around our way either. You a reclusive rado driver?

Mmm, OK - maybe that method is a little "direct". Will keep an eye out, I'm quite often between Camberley, Bagshot, Lightwater - sure to bump into you sometime. (keep an eye out for the cardboard ad banner) :D

Had a very strange day yesterday.

I usually see one Corrado every 4-5 weeks, yesterday I saw 5 in under 10 minutes, plus one this morning.

First was a Blackberry VR (I love that colour!!!) travelling towards Oxford on the A40, I overttok you, gave you a wave, then pulled over, you overtook me and gave me a wave, It was a beautiful thang. Very tidy C you have there mate (I am probably talking to myself here, never see anyone from the forum). reg was L*** VBY.

Second was a blue G60 pulling out of Tescos onto the ring road, think you saw me, but I didn't notice you till the last minute (I was staring at the girl in the pug next to me ;)), very nice (large) wheels you had, must have been 17s.

Third Blue Valver parked on Southfield road, I parked about 5 cars up the road, your C was a bit dirty (like mine) made me feel better after seeing the two previous amazingly clean examples.

Forth, another Blackberry VR (Yes it was a different one, I had checked the plate on the first one L*** VBY). looked very nice, and as I said, I love that colour. You were parked on the junction to Menzel way on Cowley road.

Fifth, Parked out side SS20 on Cowley road, big guy was taking boxes out of the back and into SS20, didn't say hello as I was late meeting a mate, and you looked rather busy.

All the above were spotted between 7 and 7:10 last night (monday the 26th)

This mornings offering was a Green C, didn't catch the model, but you had some rather nice In-Pros on the back, this was just before Tiddington, between Thame and the A40.

Please, one of these has to be from the forum!!!!!

On Sunday I saw a maroon burgandy VR6 on the A3 near Tolworth.. headed towards Guilford and Portsmouth - i blew the horn and got a smile after everyone in my car gave a thumbs up lol.

Then at Worcester Park station in south west london i saw an L-reg Corrado at about 9pm on Friday evening.

Yesterday on the way home - on the M11 saw a burgandy VR6 L-reg (i think it was an L - seen so many recently its hard to keep up!) this was headed in to london around Junction 9 at 5:30ish.

And.. lastly.. today i saw one in the Sainsburys car park in Harlow at lunch time - it was a L-reg VR6.. i think it was blue!

...and last but not least.. there is a black H-reg 1.8 16V Corrado close to my flat - on Green Lane in Ilford / Dagenham - this was particularly painful when mine was at the garage and being fixed.. but since getting it back we often park our Corrados next to each other! Adds a touch of class to the road to make up for the usual array of mod'ed escorts and fiestas! But i dont kno who the ownder is.. anyone here owning up to any of these sightings?

YAY!Finally managed to put up a "spotted" that maybe someone else knows of or has seen.

Spotted in carpark in Kirkwall,Orkney today.

Not a local car and probably not someone on here. :(

Rare enough to find a holidaymaker driving all the way here in thier C here, let alone a Storm! :o 8)

Sadly,I wasn't in my G60,but the trusty old white Mk2 GTI.
